The FCE Testbuilder is a very useful book for those preparing for the FCE examination (Cambridge First Certificate), B2 level (Common European Framework). It was first published in January 2010 and thus offers 4 completely new practice tests suitable for the 2008 revised examination. … Containing detailed explanations of every answer, this Testbuilder is perfectly suitable for self-study. I like the fact that there are explanations for the Reading, Use of English and Listening parts with useful information on vocabulary and grammar, thus saving time in class. A big advantage of the book is the further practice section which my students and I found very comprehensive and helpful. These pages give students tips on how to do each task and encourage them to think about the questions and arrive at the correct answer by applying appropriate strategies. One also finds photographs for the Speaking Part and great tips on how to deal with the questions and tasks in this section.
